Summary/Objective:
The Senior Coordinator, Academy Studios provides production and administrative support for the Academy Studios content team, ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and delivery of video and digital projects across Academy Studios’ content portfolio, including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and the Oscars. This role serves as a central hub for communication, timelines, and logistics, helping projects move smoothly from concept through publication.
The Senior Coordinator will work closely with producers, directors, and external collaborators, supporting shoots, approvals, and asset delivery. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This role is both internal- and client-facing, requiring professionalism and discretion when interacting with filmmakers, talent, and industry partners.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Assist in the coordination of Academy Studios meetings, production timelines, and communication with other departments. Track project milestones and update workflow tools (Airtable, ClickUp, or equivalent) to ensure visibility across teams.
- Maintain awareness of all Academy Studios activities; own and maintain detailed meeting minutes for various meetings, including all-team multi-department meetings, digital department team weeklies, social, digital video, and content strategy weeklies, and cross-department meetings as they pertain to Academy Studios.
- Proactively facilitate effective communication and coordination between Academy Studios and relevant Academy and Academy Museum teams.
- Contribute ideas and support development of creative concepts to develop across social and digital channels.
- Conduct pre-publication quality control review of video content with an eye for edit/color continuity and caption proofing.
- Assist in the management and coordination of various assets across departments. This includes the collection of project assets, delivering finals, and submitting to the Academy’s Film Archive.
- Help process invoices, vendor paperwork, and payment requests in coordination with finance.
- Support Academy Studios’ on-site coverage of live events, screenings, and video activations as assigned.
- Uphold the Academy’s standards of professionalism, inclusivity, and creative excellence.
- A bachelor’s degree in film studies, video production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of digital video experience (production and/or social media).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with digital project management tools (Airtable, ClickUp, Frame,io, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with high-profile talent, filmmakers, and industry partners with discretion.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.

- Familiarity with video production terminology and post-production processes preferred.
